DDIK ORGANIZES ISLAMIC WORKSHOP FOR EDUCATORS AND EDUCATIONAL STAFF AT UIR IN 2023

To enhance the faith and piety of lecturers and educational staff (Tendik) within the Islamic University of Riau (UIR) environment, the Directorate of Campus Islamic Propagation (DDIK) at UIR held an Islamic Workshop. The event took place over 4 days at the Faculty of Law Auditorium.

Participants included 55 lecturers and 66 Tendik. Dr. Anton Afrizal Candra, M.Si, the Director of DDIK UIR, stated that the Islamic Workshop aims to understand Islamic values in the era of technological and communication advancements.

“Through this workshop, it is hoped that we can deepen our understanding or, in other words, review. There are two variables, namely based on the world and the hereafter, in line with UIR’s vision of becoming a World-Class Islamic University based on faith and piety,” said Anton.

In line with this, UIR Rector Prof. Dr. H. Syafrinaldi, S.H., MCL, conveyed that the mission is derived from the vision, including creating a religious academic community guided by the Quran and Hadith.

“In addition to the regular Islamic workshops we conduct to enhance the faith of the academic community, UIR also routinely conducts Islamic studies every week, holds blessed Fridays by providing assistance to the economically less fortunate community in the UIR environment, and conducts Ramadan safari,” explained the Rector.

On the same occasion, the Rector invited lecturers and educational staff to cultivate a sense of gratitude, instill a caring attitude towards colleagues, work to the best of their abilities, and provide the best education to students.
